When you begin playing you could be fooled by the graphics retro look, but you soon realize they only enhance the overall appeal. The pixilation and bright colors work within the game and provide an atmosphere that is appealing as well as fun to play. Make sure to watch the retro styled intro video. It’s really well done and provides some interesting back story. Don’t worry about wasting time by watching your introduction. It’s like your girlfriend’s skirt should be, long enough to cover the subject, and short enough to make it interesting!

How to play
As with most PC games, your keyboard and mouse will be your tools to move and guide you.   You use your arrow keys to control your basic movements, and then key combos to examine, pick-up, and use different objects throughout the game. You also use your mouse in making choices and for some quick moves. The mechanics are easy to catch on to and you will be running around the neighborhood before you know it!   It doesn’t take long before the first fight either since you live in a pretty rough neighborhood. All fights don’t happen in the ring!   If you are not careful you could even get jumped long before your first ring fight, just walking to work in the morning. Your character will start off with basic abilities like kicking, and as your fighting prowess in and out the ring improves, your skill levels will advance.
It’s very much a management sim as opposed to a full on action game so don’t go buying this if you only want a strictly beat-em-up, blood and gore type game. The fighting is handled by the computer for you, but you have picked which moves to use during the battle. Your character cannot win a fight without your cunning and skill behind him!

Some game notes

Don’t be fooled by your initial glimpse of the game. This game is not as easy as it first looks. While you may gain in stats quickly, be warned, you can lose your agility, strength, or stamina just as fast. You need to maintain your characters health with food, exercises etc. It is all in all a clever and underestimated game where the right tactics will prevail over incessant mouse-clicking your opponent to their demise. If you channel Rocky Balboa, or always wanted to join Fight Club, then somewhere deep inside you is a deep seated desire to become a champion. We think you definitely have to play the Punch Club.

Conclusion

Cool graphics, great sound effects, and plenty of mental stimulation are just a few of the highlights of this awesome RPG experience. Excellent support, Great customer service, and a global community are a few more reasons to play.
